Imaginez que votre vie est une commode avec plusieurs tiroirs.
Chaque tiroir est un aspect de votre vie: le tiroir « moi », le tiroir « famille », « amis », « travail » et « divers ». Cet article va vous montrer comment faire pour que chacun de vos tiroirs soit rempli correctement afin que vous soyez heureux et satisfait.

- un tiroir « moi »
- un tiroir « famille »
- un tiroir « amis »
- un tiroir « travail »
- un tiroir « divers »
Lorsque vous rangez toutes vos affaires dans la commode, vous faites en sorte que les tiroirs soient à peu près remplis de la même manière. Si un des tiroirs est plein à ras bord, et les autres sont presque vides, la commode risque de pencher, certains tiroirs pourraient se casser et s’écrouler sur les autres.
C’est une image qui devrait vous permettre de comprendre que chacun de vos tiroirs de vie doit avoir sa place et que vous ne devriez pas en laisser un de côté pour un autre.
Pour être heureux et satisfait, chacun de ces tiroirs doit être en équilibre par rapport aux autres.
Si votre travail a une place très importante dans votre vie, donc pour rester dans notre image: si votre tiroir « travail » est très rempli, vous risquez de négliger les autres: la famille, les amis, et surtout le tiroir qui est souvent oubliè « moi ».
C’est bien de travailler, mais pas si tout le reste en pâtit.
C’est la même chose pour la famille, si vous passez beaucoup de temps avec votre famille (enfants, parents, conjoint…) n’oubliez pas que les amis sont importants aussi. Au fil du temps, vous risquez de voir votre tiroir « amis » se vider et au bout d’un moment, le manque se fera sentir.
Alors, comment faire pour garder l’équilibre?
organisez votre temps
- Faites une liste des choses que vous voulez faire dans un carnet, un calendrier, votre téléphone…
- Ecrivez tous vos tiroirs dans cette liste et verifiez que chacun des tiroirs est présent dans les choses que vous faites tous les jours.
Prenons un exemple:
Vendredi

| 12.00 Repas de midi | moi, famille, divers |
| 13.20 Sieste | moi |
| 14.00 Travail | travail, moi |

| 21.00 Cinéma | amis, moi |
Vous pouvez faire une liste beaucoup plus détaillée que celle-ci (j’ai volontairement évité de trop rentrer dans les activités plus intimes).
Plus votre liste sera précise, mieux vous remplirez vos tiroirs.
Pour éviter de surcharger inutilement votre commode, faites en sorte que les choses que vous voulez faire remplissent plusieurs tiroirs en même temps.
Par exemple, vous pouvez faire du sport avec vos enfants et avec vos amis: ainsi vous remplissez 3 tirois d’un coup: « amis », « famille » et « moi ».
Si votre travail vous plaît, vous remplissez deux tiroirs d’un coup: « travail » et « moi ».
Vous aurez compris que la meilleure manière de remplir plusieurs tiroirs d’un seul coup est de prendre plaisir à ce que vous faites, même lorsqu’il s’agit de tâches obligatoires comme le travail, le ménage ou les courses.

Je suis entièrement d’accord avec cette histoire de tiroirs 🙂
Ca me rappelle le concept du mode de vie minimaliste, qui consiste à supprimer de sa vie tout ce qui ne contribue pas au résultat désiré.
Je pense en effet qu’une manière efficace pour bien remplir ses tiroirs, c’est de ne garder que les activités, engagements, relations, objets etc. qui comptent vraiment pour soi.

J’apprécie beaucoup la comparaison avec les tiroirs. Et je trouve que la mise en place d’une stratégie d’organisation permet de gagner plus du temps pour réaliser ce que l’on entreprend. De ce fait, on est de plus en plus serein.

Bonjour Karim,
c’est à vous de décider de l’importance que vous donnez à chaque tiroir.
En ce qui me concerne, les tiroirs famille, moi et amis sont plus importants que les autres.
Il est certain que si vous délaissez trop un des tiroirs, vous en ressentirez les conséquences à court ou à long terme.
C’est pour cela que c’est bien d’organiser sa commode pour que vous consacriez assez de temps à chaque tiroir, un peu plus à ceux qui sont plus importants pour vous et un peu moins aux autres.
