Voici un poème et une petite vidéo qui illustrent la manière de penser de beaucoup de gens.
Nous avons tous tendance à juger les situations, les choses et les autres beaucoup trop rapidement.
C’est très facile de changer cela.
Quand on veut, on peut.
Le paquet de biscuits
Une jeune femme attendait l’heure de son vol dans un grand aéroport..
Puisqu’elle aurait à attendre plusieurs heures, elle décida de s’acheter un bon livre.
Elle acheta aussi un paquet de biscuits.
Elle s’assit dans un fauteuil dans la salle d’attente de l’aéroport pour se reposer et lire en paix.
A coté du fauteuil ou se trouvait le paquet de biscuits, un homme ouvrit son magazine et se mit à lire.
Lorsqu’elle prit un premier biscuit, l’homme fit la même chose.
Elle se sentit irritée par ce comportement, mais elle ne dit rien, se contentant de penser : « Quel effronté, j’ai envie de lui donner une bonne raclée ! »
A chaque biscuit qu’elle prenait, l’homme en prenait un aussi.
Cela la mettait dans tous ses états , mais elle ne voulait pas faire une scène.
Lorsqu’il ne resta plus qu’un seul biscuit, elle pensa « Et que va t-il faire maintenant, cet idiot de profiteur ? »
L’homme prit le dernier biscuit, le brisa en deux et lui en offrit la moitié.
Ah, mais là c’en était trop!
Elle était hors d’elle !
Elle prit son livre et ses affaires, et sortit en trombe pour se rendre au guichet d’embarquement.
Lorsqu’elle prit son siège dans l’avion, elle ouvrit son sac à main pour ranger son livre, et à sa grande surprise, elle y découvrit … son paquet de biscuits, intact et encore fermé !
Elle se sentit tellement mal !
Elle réalisait combien elle s’était trompée !
Elle avait oublié qu’ elle avait mis son paquet de biscuits dans son sac à main.
L’homme avait partagé ses biscuits avec elle sans aucune rancune ni arrière pensée.
Pendant qu’elle était si choquée, pensant qu’elle avait partagé ses biscuits avec lui…
Et maintenant, elle n’aurait plus la chance de s’expliquer ou de s’excuser…

A woman was waiting at the airport one night,
With several long hours before her flight.
She hunted for a book in the airport shop,
Bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop.
She was engrossed in her book, but happened to see,
That the man beside her, as bold as could be,
Grabbed a cookie or two from the bag between,
Which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene
She read, munched cookies, and watched the clock,
As the gustly « cookie thief » diminished her stock
She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by,
Thinking, « If I wasn’t so nice, I’d blacken his eye! »
With each cookie she took, he took one too.
When only one was left, she wondered what he’d do.
with a smile on his face and a nervous laugh,
He took the last cookie and broke it in half.
He offered her half, and he ate the other.
She snatched it from him and thought, « Oh brother,
This guy has some nerve, and he’s also so rude,
Why, he didn’t even show any gratitude! »
She had never known when she had been so galled,
And sighed with relief when her flight was called.
She gathered her belongings and headed for the gate,
Refusing to look at the « thieving ingrate ».
She boarded the plane and sank in her seat,
Then sought her book, which was almost complete.
As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise.
There were her bag of cookies in front of her eyes!
« If mine are here, » she moaned with despair.
« Then the others were his and he tried to share! »
Too late to apologize, she realized with grief,
That she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief!!!!

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said « You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear. » She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
